Drivers residing in Hong Kong longer than 6 months must apply for a Hong Kong driving license at the Transport Department. The Consulate General provides translation services for driving licenses issued in Germany, which may be transferred to Hong Kong driving licenses at the Transport Department. You may apply for the translation any time during our opening hours; it will be processed within 3 working days. Please provide the original driving license and cash (approx. 180 HKD depending on the exchange rate).
