In order to transfer a German driving license into a Hong Kong driving license, the “Transport Departement” requests a translation.

Please apply for the translation at the Consulate General by making an appointment online in the rubric of consular certifications.

The process takes around 30 minutes. The original driving license has to be handed in for that period but will be handed back together with the translation.

The translation costs approx. 300 HKD (depending on the exchange rate), payable with credit card (Master/Visa).
